As you hunt in the heart of Nebraska farm and ranch lands, you will hunt in many types of habitat including corn, millet, wheat, milo, and alfalfa. Pheasant hunting can be combined with any of our other hunts (such as grouse, goose, predator) or with deer hunts.

BBC Birds specializes in affordable, old-fashioned pheasant hunts with heavy cover, high-flying birds, and small town hospitality. We can hunt several tracts of land, but our pride and joy is our preserve, which is available September 1st through March 31st.At our preserve your friends are your hunting party; we prefer to serve groups of four or more. Our goal is to provide a personal and memorable hunt. BBC Birds has been managed specifically for pheasant habitats, with a variety of sorghums, grasses, corn, clover, sunflowers, and some good old weeds. Your hunt will generally run from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and walking will range from a stroll in the park to tough sledding to “I’m not going in there.”

Cub Creek Hunting

The European Hunt is the perfect fit for those looking for a unique and challenging pheasant hunting experience. It also provides an alternative for those not able to field hunt. The course is set near the top of small hill in the midst of a pasture. The hunt is comprised of 16 shooters positioned at eight blinds. The blinds are ~60 yards apart and encircle a concealed tower from which pheasants are released. There are two shooters at each blind, safely separated by hay bales. Cub Creek Hunting guides and guide dogs are positioned behind the blinds, ready to retrieve each harvested bird.

Great Nebraska Hunting

Single hunters are welcome. Many successful hunts have been achieved by single hunters. Parties of four to five make for some nice hunting. Traditional Nebraska pheasant hunting they way it should be. As we offer traditional (some describe it as the way it used to be--hunting on a farm or ranch) style hunting, one will have to be willing to work our properties hard and be willing to walk through some heavy cover. With our style of operation, weather may be the most limiting factor.
