— The description of Chapter III |
The Minka
Back at the place where Yasu escaped from Kintoru in Chapter II, he walks across the ocean, only to stumble upon a house. When Yasu goes inside, he must look for a crowbar to take off the wooden boards on one of the doors. He finds a code that will open up the room that the crowbar is in (the code, which is in Japanese language, is 3015).
The Sakura Swamp
After using the crowbar to unlock the door with the planks on it, Yasu must solve yet another code door (the code for this one is 8749). Once Yasu escapes the house, he reaches a swamp-area where he must offer a blade to a well while being chased by Kaito. The lanterns on the water will keep you safe, so it's best to move from lantern to lantern to avoid Kaito as much as possible. Once Yasu offers the blade, he goes into the door that was on the floor in the cave.
The tunnel under the cave has giant hands sticking out that will kill him upon contact, so Yasu must try his best to make it down the tunnel without getting killed. Once he makes it out of the tunnel, Kintoru in her "Omukade" form asks you if you have ever wondered about what happens to the butterfly spirits you sacrificed to escape while sitting on top of a sakura tree. Despite what she says, Yasu uses another butterfly to open the door. Kintoru laughs maniacally while he makes his way into the door.
The Indigent Minka
After escaping Part 1, Yasu ends up in a Minka, where he must offer a blade, a yellow rose, and a corrupted spirit to the altar in order to escape. Once he escapes, he goes down a dirty, long hallway to the house maze. Yasu must ring five bells in order to summon Mihari's corrupted Butterfly Spirit, which he then burns by an altar, killing her and opening the door to the next stage. The voice talks again: "You’re a murderer." He then proceeds to the next part.
The Lair
Yasu is teleported back to the Minka, where Kaito lies dead and faceless. Approaching him makes him sit up then back down (he will not kill you, he will just jumpscare you). Yasu goes down a hallway where there are multiple paintings on the walls, and Kintoru comes out of a few of the paintings (she will not kill you, she will just jumpscare you). Once he reaches the end of the hall, they travel through a lake, trying to solve skull-color-puzzles, while trying to survive Omukade. Once Yasu completes the puzzles, an entrance to the Ancestors Hall opens.
The Ancestors
Yasu walks through the hall, seeing the faces of all of the monsters he encountered on the walls. Kintoru tells them that the monsters are his ancestors, so they are bound to this curse by bloodline. Yasu is then teleported back to his house, or so he thinks. Yasu hesitates before he opens the door, and then the screen cuts to a scene that shows Omukade holding Biwaki, Hiachi, Kaito, Kusonoki, Megumi, Mihari, Shaku, and Shizu by puppets strings, showing that she is in control of everyone.

Trivia
- Chapter III is the third chapter to release in 2021.
- It is also the third chapter to ever be released in The Mimic.
- Omukade is one of the few monsters in The Mimic who do not instantly kill the player. However, if you were to directly touch her face, you would die instantly.
- Mihari used to be faster, lacked a chase theme, and had the same AI as Chapter I and Chapter II monsters before the Remodeled Characters update.
- The Sakura Swamp is a map in The Mimic that's water based. The others are Shaku's second maze, Omukade's Lair and the Abandonned Village.
- The Sakura Swamp is another place that features non-useable lanterns, giving a similar vibe to The Realm of the Forgotten.
- In The Hands Obby, there is a glitch where you can clip out of the water area, making it easier to get past it. However, you can die if you touch the arms one too many times. This hasn’t been fixed.
- Chapter III is is the only chapter in the Control’s Book revamp to have a part’s objective to be entirely changed (excluding the boss fight in the Sakura Arena in Chapter IV)
- This is the only chapter to have less than four monsters in it.
